GLUMES Glumes persistent; shorter than spikelet (1), or reaching apex of florets (1); thinner than fertile lemma. Lower glume elliptic; 0.9–0.95–1 length of upper glume; membranous; 1-keeled; 1 -veined. Lower glume lateral veins absent. Lower glume surface without pits. Lower glume apex acute (1), or acuminate (1). Upper glume elliptic; 1 length of adjacent fertile lemma; membranous; 1-keeled; 3 -veined. Upper glume apex acute (1), or acuminate (1).
