Fargesia yunnanensis
HABIT Perennial. Culms 400–1000 cm long; 30–60 mm diam.; woody. Culm-internodes terete; with small lumen; 4.5–9.5 cm long; distally glabrous. Lateral branches dendroid. Leaves 3–6 per branch. Leaf-sheaths 4.5–6 cm long; glabrous on surface; outer margin glabrous, or hairy. Ligule an eciliate membrane; 0.5 mm long; truncate. Leaf-blade base with a brief petiole-like connection to sheath. Leaf-blades lanceolate; 8–19 cm long; 8–18 mm wide. Leaf-blade venation with 8–10 secondary veins; with distinct cross veins. Leaf-blade margins scabrous. Leaf-blade apex acuminate.
INFLORESCENCE Flowering specimens unknown.
DISTRIBUTION Asia-temperate: China.
