Gelidocalamus longiinternodus
HABIT Perennial; caespitose. Rhizomes elongated; leptomorph. Culms erect; 500 cm long; 30 mm diam.; woody. Culm-internodes terete; with small lumen; 50–70 cm long; distally glabrous, or hispid. Culm-nodes flush with internodes. Lateral branches suffrutescent. Culm-sheaths persistent; 22 cm long; 3 times as long as wide; coriaceous; hispid; with dark brown hairs; hairy on margins; without auricles; setose on shoulders. Culm-sheath ligule 2 mm high; ciliolate. Culm-sheath blade linear. Leaves cauline. Ligule an eciliate membrane. Leaf-blade base with a brief petiole-like connection to sheath. Leaf-blades lanceolate, or oblong; 28–40 cm long; 45–55 mm wide. Leaf-blade venation with 10–22 secondary veins; with distinct cross veins. Leaf-blade apex acuminate.

DISTRIBUTION Asia-temperate: China.
