GLUMES Glumes persistent; similar; exceeding apex of florets; thinner than fertile lemma; gaping. Lower glume elliptic; 3 mm long; 1 length of upper glume; membranous; 1-keeled; keeled above; 5 -veined. Lower glume primary vein scabrous. Lower glume apex acuminate. Upper glume elliptic; 3 mm long; 1.2–1.5 length of adjacent fertile lemma; membranous; with hyaline margins; 1-keeled; keeled above; (3–)5 -veined. Upper glume primary vein scabrous. Upper glume apex acuminate.
