Chusquea attenuata
HABIT Perennial. Culms scandent; 200–400 cm long; 7–10 mm diam.; woody; without nodal roots. Culm-internodes terete; solid. Lateral branches dendroid. Branch complement in a clump. Leaf-sheaths deciduous; pilose. Ligule an eciliate membrane; truncate. Collar with external ligule. Leaf-blade base with a brief petiole-like connection to sheath. Leaf-blades lanceolate; 4–8 cm long; 2–4 mm wide; chartaceous. Leaf-blade surface puberulous.
INFLORESCENCE Flowering specimens unknown.
DISTRIBUTION South America: Brazil.
